1. We get to visit all our friends and relatives that come to Disneyland. In March, our friends Ian and April from Sacramento were on their anniverary trip. So we met up with them at Downtown Disney for dinner.
2. The grass is green all year. We finally put Tanner out on the grass one time in March. Now that he can crawl, it made sense to give him a new place to do it! He wasn't too sure about it, though, and didn't really go anywhere on the grass. haha.
3. There are flowers and blossoms in bloom all year long. On our family nature walk one night, Tanner didn't want to touch these plants.
4. There are nice, gated communities with pretty parks. But we don't live in one of them. Haha. But we still have nice parks in our non-gated town home community. There are lots of friends from church in our neighborhood, and Tanner loves this swing!
5. The price of living is higher in OC. You may think that's a bad thing, but it's good for us. It means that our home is nice and cozy ('cuz the bigger ones are too pricey), so there is virtually only one room that we have to keep clean! Here's what it looked like the week Jeremy got back from China and I had my JH show and 2nd grade show. Luckily, the mess stays nice and contained since this is the only place to put everything.

and he helps mom play the piano...
and he helps dad take naps... but I digress.

6. Another perk of living in OC- The beach is 2 miles from our house. We try to visit once a week, even if we just sit on the lawn and watch the waves. On March 27, we planned to take a short walk on the bike path. We ended up staying all evening long because one great moment led us to another great moment and we couldn't leave! First we walked and took pictures of the beautiful day.
As we walked to the pier, Jeremy suggested we go clothes shopping for me on Main St. Shopping for clothes is really discouraging for me, so I was glad that Jeremy wanted to take me shopping. We actually found 3 new things for me that worked! Then it was dinner time, so we decided to get something to eat at Wahoo Tacos. And then we realized it was Tuesday night- and that meant the Farmer's Market was there!!
7. The farmer's market is another great perk! At this visit, we enjoyed the entertainment, ate our favorite candied nuts, and bought a surf trinket for our little collection in the laundry room.
