Zavoral Villa!

This post features pictures from March 17 to March 30.  When we got back from our Epic Family Trip, the weather was actually in the 60's. And it was time for St. Patricks' Day!  I was really glad that I listened to the prompting to put up our St Patrick decorations before we left, otherwise we probably wouldn't have celebrated. We had some guest visitors for dinner: We accomplished our goal of making it to one hockey game this season. We went with our friend Riley and the Grush family. Both boys loved the game. Dallin was super excited about the stadium playing "We Will Rock You" over and over again. The boys did some painting one day. It turns out that Jeremy also did some painting! From my previous four posts, you might think that everything about our trip was perfect. This post reveals the many challenging times that we experienced. Through it all, I learned some great lessons about being happy. It was going to be an AWESOME trip!! Things were going our way. I actually had the house clean and the St Patrick's decorations up before we left. I wasn't stressed while packing. And even though we were 30 minutes late for the airport, we managed to make our flight with time to spare! Our spirits were high. But THEN.... our troubles began. Dallin had major diarrhea on the airplane. And of course, in the year 2015, there are still airplanes without changing tables. Luckily, we handled it like professional parents, changing his many diapers and blowouts on our laps in the stalls. We survived just fine and carried on our way. Our Epic Family Trip continued as we left Laie, Hawaii on Wednesday, March 11 at 7:30 am. We spent all of Weds and some of Thurs getting to Sacramento for Grandma Davidson's funeral.  At the Honolulu airport. Meeting the pilots. Tanner was so excited to go in the cockpit that he couldn't say anything that made any sense, haha. We had a layover in LA.  When we got our luggage in Sacramento, it was 1:00 am, Thursday. Then, Jeremy took care of things with getting our rental car. It was a long wait, so me and the boys became very acquainted with a few airport chairs, baggage carousels and the airport floor, hoping that Jeremy would come to get us soon. We were really glad to get in a bed around 2:30 am. Thursday was a big play day with all of the six Zavoral grandkids. It was neat to have them all be together for the first time!
