We Got Married!! (4 years ago)

View on Catalina Island over-looking the ocean and toward the mainland.
We could see Huntington Beach from here!

Four years. That sounds like a long time. To us, it feels like it's only been one or two. And here's something to prove how newly-wed we still feel.

Things we said to each other our first month of marriage that we STILL say to each other:
  • I can't believe I was able to get you to marry me.
  • I love how we don't have to say goodbye at the end of our date!
  • I'm going to be with you FOREVER? That's so cool!
  • You are the perfect person for me.
  • So who's gonna be in charge of taking out the trash?
  • You are so hot!
  • Being married to you is so fun. Did you think it would be this fun?
To celebrate, we were able to take a weekend trip to Catalina Island. We see the island almost everyday from our beach, so we decided it was time to actually go there. It only took 1 hr and 45 min to get there from our front door to the hotel on the island. Cool!
In addition to the pictures above, we went on a night-time flying fish tour and saw seal lions and flying fish, went to church-just a group of members (not even a branch), and stayed in a guest house/hotel that shared the toilet and shower with the room next to us. It was a really fun adventure!

Wow, 4 years!! Congratulations....and we're looking forward to your 40th as well....keep being happy...that makes us happy. We love you, Grandma and Grandpa D.
Come to think of it that means our temple has been in operation for 4 years!! We surely enjoy working there.

CONGRATULATIONS!! 4 years, isn't it the best?! We still say all those things to each other too. Of course we haven't been married quite as long as yall - I still remember when we got married and you expertly gave us all sorts of advice since you'd been married for 9 months already. Congrats again - and what a fun gettaway!

  Our celebrations for Independence Day 2020 were very different than what we're used to. This is my favorite holiday along with Easter, and I try to go big each year, so it took a lot of stretching for me to find ways to make the week special with so many Covid limitations. A Happy New Year

Between Christmas and New Year's, we had some great vacationing. Jeremy worked on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve (cuz they are slower days), and then took off Mondays. So he had a much needed relaxing two weeks. And we loved it, too, because we got to see lots of Daddy! The boys played while Daddy snow-blowed, and then Jeremy took them around the yard a few times in the sled. Tanner is getting very creative with his imaginary drum sets. One day, he used the remote controls for percussion instruments. We went to the Minneapolis Zoo on one of Jeremy's days off! (Thanks, Uncle Steve and Aunt Katie for the giftcard!) You might be wondering, "Why go to the zoo in the winter? Isn't it freezing there?" The answer is yes, it is actually colder than freezing. Summer Begins!

Summer is in the air! This post features photos from end of May to beginning of June 2021. Field Trip at the Rose Garden in Balboa Park. Homeschool project with Aunt Katie.  This lesson they explored dragon fruit and made really yummy parfaits. Final days of Bucket Drumming class, Music Mappers class, Family Music class, and private lessons.  Tanner worked for me and earned $10 each week as my teacher's assistant in Bucket Drumming class. After training him, he did really well. Also, I recorded students playing piano and singing for a virtual recital. I hired someone to edit and compile the videos and it turned out darling. However, it was very time consuming.
